Blood Booth

JOSH T ROMERO DARK ROOM HORROR BLOOD BOOTH BANNER

Like many before me, I got into photography in High School. Moody/emo selfies and melodramatic still life was kind of my thing. I created a myspace page separate from my personal account called 2:57 Photography. I thought the name was deep. That time just before the witching hour when “the body’s at low tide… The soul is out. The blood moves slow. You’re the nearest to dead you’ll ever be save dying.” But when people would ask what it meant, I’d simply tell them that’s what time it was when I set up the page. I was always a pretty cool kid.

I’ve been doing a lot of research on makeup lately. In an attempt to take my studio photo game to the next level and a desire to do something different, I’m taking a chance and assuming that I’m not the only one out there with a love for bloody horror.

Dark Room Horror Presents: The Blood Booth

Professional Horror Themed Head-shots for Halloween Cards and Novelty Photos.

I’m really surprised that Halloween Cards aren’t currently a thing! People spend so much time and effort getting their costumes ready throughout the year to make a big splash for one evening, all to have your party plans canceled at the last minute, leaving you to take the kids trick-or-treating and having your amazing Gomez Addams costume seen by a handful of people you don’t know. I’m speaking from personal experience in case you couldn’t tell. Halloween Cards seem like an easy, ideal way to have your effort and love for the holiday presented all year round on the refrigerators of friends and family.

Down the line, when I’ve worked out wholesale deals for monstrous flesh wounds and small blood packets, I’ll be looking into Portable Booth options for parties, weddings and kids birthdays.

I’ve been testing out different fake bloods and looking into prosthetic wounds to do this right. There are a myriad of packages and themes to choose from BUT I’m still in the process of building the portfolio for this project. If you’re interested in some sweet, creepy, studio photos, hit me up and we’ll talk! I’d love to have each package headed with a different couple or individual to visually exemplify what people are getting themselves into.

The Themes:

Zombies & Ghouls

Slashers/Final Girls

Vampires (Victorian/Modern)

Possessions and demons

Ghosts

Post-Apocalyptic

Witches…

This is where we’re at so far.

Let me know what you think and if you’re interested in being apart of this!
